Seattle had one of the biggest snow storms ever starting on Friday, February 8th through Monday the 11th. We received a years worth of snow in one night! I left work right when it started snowing, but by the time I got home, it was snowing so hard, my civic got stuck on our hill. Luckily, I safely turned it around and parked on the street. Danny met me at the bottom and we trekked our way up.
I really enjoyed all the snow. It was such fun to experience an actual storm. We were fortunate enough that Danny’s work schedule fell where he had 4 days off in a row! We got to thoroughly enjoy the storm, and not worry about driving in it!
We left the apartment on Sunday to enjoy the snow and explore the woods behind our building. Rollo had so much fun! He kept running and falling because the snow was so deep. But that didn’t stop him!
I worked from home on Monday and Tuesday, so when I finally went to get my car on the bottom of the hill on Tuesday afternoon, it was covered in snow. It took me over 2 hours to dig it out.
After a few falls and sore muscles, it is definitely a February for the books. Can’t wait to see what Washington brings us for March!
Today I woke up to a Winter Wonderland!! It had been snowing all night! Somehow I thought I would still make it into work, but after looking outside, there was no way! It was so beautiful – everything was covered in snow! Being from Southern California, we had never experienced anything like this, and definitely were not prepared. Of course, we have visited the snow, but having to do your normal day to day activities is so much harder. This was looking outside our bedroom window!
Fortunately for me, I was able to work from home today. However, Danny’s job required him to drive into the city. He doesn’t get a “snow day” 😉 When he left for work this morning, we were both trying to get the snow off the car. We didn’t have any of the fancy brushes or scrapers like our neighbors, so we used a broom! 🙂 We probably looked ridiculous and like newbies.
I had to walk down to our leasing office a few times to get packages. As cold as it was, the view was indescribable and the air was so crisp. These pictures don’t even do it justice.
I didn’t want to be the only one enjoying the snow today, so I took Rollo, our mini bull terrier, outside. He was so scared to go out in the snow at first. But when we started walking toward the dog park, he got so excited and started playing and running around. It was so cute!
This was one Monday that didn’t turn out too bad 🙂
